BEES Tel Aviv (ABInBev) // 2023
BEES is a mobile B2B app available in 23 countries by ABInBev for businesses that sell beverages. The service consists of the delivery of beer and partner products for more than 3.3M users, mainly owners of bars, restaurants, and liquor stores. I worked on a special session inside the product, called My Business, providing key insights to make their stores grow.
The research identified 3 primary problems to solve
The My Business section was slow to load when compared to other section inside BEES app, and people were bouncing. They expected the app to be as fast as the other sections, if not faster.
People unanimously agreed that My Business section inside the app looked visually dated and out of touch with modern design.
People felt that My Business was cluttered and overwhelming, especially when compared to other e-commerce apps like Heineken and other competitors.
How might we make My Business fast, modern, and relevant?
We converted our key problems into opportunities to solve on My Business session inside BEES
The new section should have a competitively fast performance by improving Time-to-Interaction and increasing the overall perceived interface responsiveness.
The user interface of the website should be visually refreshed and use the new Hexa design system, from BEES app.
The redesign should make key features easier to find and use, remove underperforming features, and ensure we show the right content to the user across My Business.
Revamp with Hexa Design System
The backbone of the whole application revamp was based on the Hexa Design System. The design system was built specifically for the app which ensured it was high-performing and supported natively.
The new My Business went through many iterations before we had a shippable design candidate.
The following designs shipped publicly to everyone across the world.
