Binn is a SaaS for hotel services, specialized in luxury and close to nature accommodations. As a multi-tenancy mobile app, it enables customized login and sections for each hotel and their clients, such as room service, personalized breakfast, tours schedule and restaurant reservations. Developed in Flutter for iOS and Android.

Our research identified 2 primary problems with the old app

Unsupported

Binn first version was created to meet only Pousada Favorita hotel accommodation services. It wasn't meant to be a multi-tenancy SaaS. The app wasn't designed and optimized to support these kind of system.

Dated

People unanimously agreed that the app looked visually dated and out of touch with modern design, when compared to other websites like AirBnb, TripAdvisor and other market references.

Goals

We converted our key problems into opportunities to solve during the redesign.

Launch

Develop a shippable multi-tenant MVP baseline experience for Binn. The new app should enable a minimal feature-set, that could be build, tested and shipped in 6 months.

Modern

The user interface of the app should be visually refreshed and use its own new Design System.

Relevant

The redesign should make features easy to find and use, removing underperforming features and ensure to show the right content to the users.

The MVP

Our research data helped us define the minimal feature-set we needed to create the MVP for Binn multi-tenancy SaaS. Users could get a list of the registered hotels, log into the hotel personalized section, order breakfast and room services, book tours, look for nature attractions and get restaurant reservations.
